For this project, it was a fairly simple process.
I had two lights, I had to position them to not have as much reflection on the can. I used hard light with now soft-boxes to get the shadow you see in the raw image below. I had one camera Right, and one Camera Left to act as a fill to make sure that the lighting was as even as possible on the Can.
The First thing I did in post was color correct it with a grey card I had on set. Ironically, the thing I did next was apply a color gradient to the product so that it's whites would match the environment I was about to edit it into. If I had not added the color gradient, it would had looked out of place, and more "photoshopped".
